End User License Agreement (EULA)
This document serves as both the Terms of Service and the End User License Agreement for CodeAscent. By downloading, installing, or using CodeAscent, you agree to these terms. CodeAscent offers auto-renewable subscriptions — please review Section 3 and Section 4 carefully for subscription and cancellation details.
By accessing or using CodeAscent, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account, or have verified parental consent.
CodeAscent offers free access to a limited number of lessons (up to 10) and paid subscription plans for unlimited access. Paid subscriptions are available as Monthly ($14.99/month), Yearly ($79.99/year), and Lifetime ($149.99 one-time) plans. Prices may vary by region and are confirmed at the time of purchase in the App Store. Monthly and Yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan. The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase that grants permanent access to all premium features and does not auto-renew.
You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time by going to your device Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of any subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
CodeAscent offers a feature-gated free trial that allows users to complete up to 10 lessons at no cost. This is based on lesson count, not a time-limited trial. After completing 10 lessons, a paid subscription is required to access additional content.
You agree to use CodeAscent in a lawful manner and not to: share your account, attempt to bypass subscription requirements, engage in any activity that disrupts our services, post inappropriate or harmful content, harass or bully other users, or violate any applicable laws or regulations.
All content, including lessons, code examples, challenges, and educational materials, is the property of CodeAscent. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
Your use of CodeAscent is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our services. For users under 13, social features require verified parental consent. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on data collection, use, and protection.
CodeAscent uses third-party services including Apple App Store for payment processing and RevenueCat for subscription management. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
CodeAscent is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, inability to access the service, or any content provided through the service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Any active subscriptions should be cancelled through your App Store account settings.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of CodeAscent after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should discontinue use and cancel any active subscriptions.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of CodeAscent shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
